Aylmer Police have received multiple reports over the past week about a ‘relative’ scam.
Individuals receive a call from someone claiming to be a district attorney or police officer advising a relative has been arrested and needs bail money. The funds are to be wired or left in their mailbox to be picked up.
Police and the courts stress they never request money be sent or picked up. If you are in doubt about any such calls, contact police.
