An attempted tag-team theft at an Elgin Centre convenience store has police looking to identify two suspects.
A man in a hoodie entered the store, shortly after 3pm on Monday (December 12th). He asked the clerk to see an item in the far corner of the store. A second man entered the store and stole two trays of scratch tickets from behind the counter.
The man ended up dropping the trays when he was confronted by a citizen who noticed the theft happening. The man in the hoodie ended up leaving the store, pretending that he didn’t know what was happening.
Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Thomas Police or Crime Stoppers.
