A pair of St. Thomas charities hit the jackpot this week thanks to a donation from Jackpot City and the St.Thomas Gaming Association.
Christmas Care St. Thomas and The Christmas Shoppe will share in over $35,000, explains Mark Williams, president of the gaming association.
Williams adds the donation grows every year. In 2019 the total was just over $20,000.
Mark Williams, president of the St. Thomas Gaming Association presented cheques to the two charities last Thursday.
Williams adds it’s all about putting money back into the community, because the need grows with each passing year.
He explained the significance of the donation.
Williams notes it’s another example of Jackpot City’s customers and the 89 charities operating out of the venue digging just a little deeper this year.
