The number of impaired drivers charged during this year’s OPP West Region Festive RIDE program dropped slightly from one year ago.
A total of 278 impaired driving charges were issued this year, that’s down two from last year.
Similarly, 49 warn-range suspensions were handed out, a drop over last year’s 55.

Impaired driving charges: 278 (280)

Number of RIDE checkpoints: 1904 (1243)
OPP detachments with the most impaired charges: Middlesex-43, Oxford-43, Essex-29
OPP detachments with the fewest impaired charges: South Bruce-4, Huron-7.
