A 37-year-old man has been charged by St. Thomas Police with passing counterfeit money and several other offences. A variety store employee contacted police to report the man had tried to use a counterfeit bill for a purchase. He denied knowing it was counterfeit and gave police a false name. He was arrested and more counterfeit money was found in his wallet. He faces additional charges including possession of stolen property and obstructing police.
