For almost two years they provided a vital service to the community and now Southwestern Public Health is shutting down its St. Thomas COVID-19 mass immunization clinic.
Over that time the clinic and similar ones in Woodstock and Tillsonburg administered almost half-a-million doses of vaccine.
At their peak, these clinics vaccinated more than 2,500 people per day
The vaccination campaign was the largest effort in the health unit’s history.
The city’s clinic will shut down as of Feb. 17. However, residents wishing to get vaccinated after that date may do so by visiting http://ontario.ca/book-vaccine/ and booking an appointment.
The toll-free number 1-833-943-3900 is also available for booking support.
All remaining Covid-19 vaccination opportunities are outlined on the health unit’s Covid-19 vaccination page at http://www.swpublichealth.ca/covid19vaccine.
Those who are more than six months out from their last dose are encouraged to drop by 1230 Talbot Street St. Thomas.
