The view atop the St. Thomas Elevated Park is nothing short of inspiring.
So, imagine being able to express yourself artistically and capturing the view on canvas.
The prospect will become a reality later this year through a partnership between Andrew Gunn Consulting and the STEAM Education Centre, made possible with a $7,500 grant.
Exact details of the art project have yet to be worked out Gunn tells myFM.
Gunn says the project is inspired by a trip last summer to Amsterdam where easels were put outside in the garden and visitors could walk up to paint.
He notes this will be a great activity for parents with young children, seniors and anyone who loves to paint or try something new.
STEAM executive director Fred Cahill says the project is a way for people to express themselves in an interactive way in various city locations.
Gunn says the project is about nurturing creativity.
Cahill adds it’s an innovative idea to allow residents and visitors to feel proud of what they create.
Gunn notes it is another way to attract people downtown.
Details of precise locations, dates and times will be shared as they become available.
