The provincial government is extending a tuition freeze for Ontario post-secondary students for a third straight year.
Ontario students will see no tuition increase in the 2023-24 school year, but colleges and universities will be allowed to raise fees for domestic out-of-province students by up to five per cent.
Colleges Ontario says it’s disappointed that members aren’t being given the flexibility to respond to escalating cost pressures.
In addition to the tuition freeze, Colleges and Universities Minister Jill Dunlop has announced the creation of an expert panel to provide advice on post-secondary financial sustainability.
