St. Thomas Police are investigating a pair of distraction thefts this week.
On Sunday, a woman was approached by two men who told her she had something in her tire.
While checking, one of the men stole her wallet. Approximately $4,000 had been taken from her account before she was successfully able to cancel all cards.
In a similar incident Wednesday, a woman’s wallet was taken from her car after a man stopped her and asked for directions.
While the victim was speaking with him, she heard one of her doors close and saw a female walk away from her vehicle.
Both cases occurred in the Elgin Centre parking lot.
