The group of volunteers at Destination Church continue to step up for the local community.
In addition to the work they do through their school lunch program each day, the team is hosting free community meals on the first and third Thursday of every month. The next one is coming up tomorrow! (April 20)
The theme of the meal each Thursday will differ, as it depends on what type of donations they receive that week.
They call it a ‘Stone Soup’ meal. Volunteer Eva Kuhn explains where the term comes from.
The free community meals are being hosted at Destination Church, on the corner or Talbot and Ross Streets.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner beginning around 6.
