With the winter weather hopefully in our rearview, Southwestern Public Health is reminding residents who utilize well water to submit a new sample for testing.
Our local health unit notes that water quality can change after flooding, heavy rains, or snow thaws and recommend that residents test their well water three times per year.
Well water testing bottles can be picked up at a number locations across St. Thomas and Elgin County, and dropped off at SWPH.
This is a free service for those with residential water wells to test for E. coli bacteria and other coliforms.
More details can be found here.
