Fifteen years after it trashed single-use plastic bags, the LCBO is going to phase out paper bags at its retail stores.
It says the move will save the equivalent of 188-thousand trees each year and divert more than 26-hundred tonnes of waste from landfills.
The LCBO is encouraging customers to bring reusable bags when they shop.
