Southwestern Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identifying a dog that bit an individual around 7 p.m. Monday on Wilson Avenue, across from the Petro-Canada gas station.
The animal is a young tan and white, short-haired dog that may be a bulldog mix.
Identifying the dog and learning its vaccination status allows the victim and their health care provider to determine next steps related to rabies treatment.
If you are the dog owner and/or have any information about the dog, you are asked to contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask for Simran Saini, Public Health Inspector, at extension 1297.
