Thanks to the actions of a concerned citizen, a 38 year old female from London was arrested and charged after police determined she was driving impaired with 2 children in the vehicle.
Aylmer Police say they were contacted by a concerned citizen just after the noon hour Monday, regarding a possible impaired driver on Talbot Street.
Officers located the vehicle and confirmed the driver was impaired by alcohol, with breath samples taken at the station coming in nearly double the legal limit. In addition, officers located open alcohol and Cannabis inside the vehicle.
Police note that the two children under the age of 10 were turned over to the care of a relative following the arrest.
Subsequently, the 38 year old female from London has been charged with impaired operation, over 80 BAC, having liquor readily available and having Cannabis readily accessible.
