The Elgin County OPP have charged an 18-year-old from St. Thomas following a disturbance in the Township of Southwold on Sunday.
Police were called to Talbot Line just west of Ron McNeil Line around 8:50 a.m., where an individual was observed occupying the live lanes of traffic and throwing debris at oncoming vehicles.
While attempting to make the arrest, one officer was assaulted in the process.
As a result, Hannah Zellman of St. Thomas was charged with Assault a Peace Officer and Two Counts of Mischief over $5000.
No serious injuries were reported.
