My Broadcasting Corporation knows how important it is that local residents gain skills and further education in order to be community leaders of tomorrow.
Because of this, MBC, 94.1 myFM’s parent company, will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to attend college, university or enter the trades.
Tim Smart, General Manager at 94.1 myFM explains who is eligible to apply.
As far as other scholarships compare, what were asking from applicants isn’t a 10 page essay, we just want to hear from you adds Smart.
And the deadline to apply is coming up fast, with applicants having until Saturday (June 3) at 7 p.m.
The Community First Scholarship will be awarded based on the content of the audio portion of the application. Students can record their message through a phone recorder app, or as a video.
