The Town of Aylmer is hosting a special Gear Up for Safety Bike Rodeo & Touch-a-Truck event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Taking place at the East Elgin Community Complex, this bring your own bike event gives participants the chance to show off their safe cycling skills or learn some new ones from a number of local partners. This includes Elgin County OPP, Aylmer Police, local helmet advocacy group Lidup4Branden, and St. Thomas Cycles among others.
They’ll also be able to get up close and personal to fire trucks, police cruisers, and heavy equipment, while learning how it all works.
Participants of the rodeo will even be entered into a draw to win a brand new bike.
Those hoping to get involved must register and sign a participation waiver.
A rain date of June 24th has been set. For more details or to register, click here.
