It was a big day for members of the Elgin Middlesex Regional Fire School, who held their Recruit Graduation back on May 31st.
69 graduates spanning from 14 different departments were honoured during the evening ceremony, following a 5 month intensive training program to become firefighters.
With these new skills, the 69 individuals will now serve their local communities and assist during a number of different emergencies.
Congratulations goes out to all recruits who will now benefit Aylmer, Bayham, Malahide, Central Elgin, Southwold, Dutton Dunwich, West Elgin, Southwest Middlesex, Middlesex Centre, North Middlesex, Thames Centre, Oneida, Lucan-Biddulph, and South Huron communities.
Those who delivered congratulatory addresses include Warden Ed Ketchabaw of Elgin County, Deputy Warden Aina DeViet of Middlesex County, and Andrea Loughlean, Manager of the Elgin Middlesex Regional Fire School.
