A call from a concerned citizen to city police Wednesday, has resulted in the arrest of a 63 year old St. Thomas resident.
Police responded to a Talbot Street location after being notified about a possible impaired driver in the area.
Once located, officers requested a breath sample from the driver who registered a fail reading. Further samples taken at the police station revealed the 63 year old had one and half times the legal limit in their system.
As a result, the St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Impaired Operation – over 80 and was released on an undertaking.
