With week two of summer vacation now in the books for local students, parents may already be running out of ideas to keep the kids busy.
Well, this Friday is Healthy Parks Healthy People Day, where Ontario Parks that normally charge a day-use fee will be offering free entry for residents to enjoy the benefits of nature.
There are a number of Ontario Parks within roughly an hours drive of St. Thomas, including Port Burwell, Port Bruce, John E. Pearce, Long Point, Turkey Point, Komoka, Pinery, Rondeau and Selkirk.
Pack a picnic, take a hike, hit the beach or take advantage of the Healthy Parks Healthy People Day programs being offered at a number of parks across the province.
