Following the announcement of her hiring back in May, the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation will welcome its new Executive Director Monday.
Mary Lou Crowley joins the STEGH Foundation from the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, where she had served as President & CEO since 2017.
For over 30 years, Crowley has held leadership roles at a number of hospital foundations, leading and supporting teams that have raised millions of dollars for excellence in local healthcare.
This includes her work with an online 50/50 raffle as Crowley notes, an area of expertise that will benefit her in her new role.
And that’s not the only active fundraiser Crowley knows a thing or two about, with a successful diagnostic imagining campaign already under her belt.
Crowley will fill the critical position of Executive Director that has been left vacant for months just as the Foundation embarks on their $8 million Transforming Tomorrow Diagnostic Imaging Campaign. And as a new resident to the city, she hopes her expertise will continue to better the hospital that we all rely on.
As far as what she is most looking forward to when she takes over as Executive Director on Monday, Crowley points to building new relationships and getting straight to work!
Crowley will work with the staff and Board of Directors, in collaboration with senior leadership at STEGH in order to raise critical funds in support of our hospital.
