A First Time Rider event taking place next month looks to introduce new school bus riders and their families to safe bus riding before the school year begins.
This free program being offered by Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services is open to all first time bus riders across the Thames Valley and London District Catholic School Boards.
Parents are asked to preregister for the Thursday, August 17th event, no later than August 14th. There you can chose from 4 different sessions running between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School.
The 30 minute sessions will include a bus safety presentation followed by a short ride. That’s where parents and children can experience how to board, ride and get off the bus safely.
