Missing, one very distinctive identification sign. Elgin OPP are investigating the theft of “The Village of Port Stanley” sign on Sunset Road that welcomes residents and visitors to the lakeside community.
Police were notified of the theft on July 11 and investigation revealed a chainsaw had been used to cut off the sign supports.
The sign is valued at $8,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact Elgin OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
