The St. Thomas Police are back with their final Boredom Busters event of the summer.
Join our local officers Tuesday, August 22nd from 10 a.m. to noon for this free community event featuring youth pick up basketball and road hockey.
With an aim at keeping kids active and entertained during the dog days of summer, Corporate Communications Coordinator with the St. Thomas Police Service Samantha Wakefield, invites all the youth in our community to join in on the fun!
Wakefield notes that the Boredom Buster will be hosted just across the street at the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
While this event is completely free and doesn’t require registration, Wakefield stresses that a parent or guardian must be on site.
Not only is this event an excellent chance for children in our community to see the friendly faces behind the uniforms and learn about the essential role the police play, it also gives the officers the chance to change things up adds Wakefield.
For further updates and information, be sure to follow the St. Thomas Police Service’s social media channels.
