Southwestern Public Health reported Wednesday that all public beaches in Elgin are indicating safe levels of bacteria.
However, major rainfall events will lead to runoff which can increase E. coli levels.
This is the last week of beach water quality updates from the health unit and residents will be encouraged to self monitor the conditions for the remainder of beach season.
