More evidence is expected today at the trial of a man accused of killing four members of a Muslim family in Ontario.
Nathaniel Veltman has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder after being accused of deliberately hitting five members of the Afzaal family with his truck while they were out for a walk in London, Ontario.
Prosecutors have alleged his actions amount to an act of terrorism.
Jurors heard yesterday that Veltman penned what prosecutors have called a manifesto before his attack, calling himself a white nationalist and peddling conspiracies about Muslims.
A digital forensic expert told the jury today that a USB drive linked to the man accused of killing a Muslim family in London contained the manifesto of the New Zealand mosque gunman.
Windsor police Sergeant Liyu Guan testified that same USB drive also had a video of the 2019 mass shooting in New Zealand that left 51 Muslim worshippers dead at two mosques.
Guan also testified that the video and manifesto had been opened multiple times from February, 2021 to June 6, 2021, the day of the attack.
More details on the June 6th attack can be found in our previous stories.
