Two years after the first train rolled out of London bound for Toronto, GO Transit has terminated the pilot project. The route connected the two centres via St Mary’s and Stratford.
A spokesperson for Metrolinx, the province’s regional transit agency, told myFM Tuesday the early morning commuter train made its last run Friday.
She added the reason for terminating the service is the re-appearance of VIA Rail trains 82 and 83 which return to the rails next Tuesday.
Train 82 leaves London at 6:25 a.m. and Train 83 departs Toronto at 4:15 p.m.
