Southwestern Public Health is seeking information following a dog biting incident that took place around 4:30 Tuesday evening on Burwell Road.
The victim of the dog bite was running by 1Password Park when they passed the owner and a large black dog, possibly a Staffordshire Terrier, which was on leash when the incident took place.
It’s said that the owner, who is described as female and between 30-40 years of age, was unable to prevent the bite from happening.
At this time the health unit seeks details about this dog in order to assess for risk of exposure to the rabies virus.
