A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a vehicle theft Thursday morning in St. Thomas.
Just after 8 a.m. police responded to a northside residence for a report of a theft in progress. Police quickly caught up with the vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted to stop it.
A pursuit followed but was terminated when the accused collided with a marked police car.
He was arrested a short time later by another police service.
Nolan Nogueira faces a variety of charges including:
- Theft over $5000
- Operation of a vehicle while prohibited,
- Two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle
- Two counts of flight from police
- Two count of driving while under suspension
