Following an apartment building collapse on Hiawatha Street last Wednesday that left a number of local residents displaced, the Salvation Army St. Thomas is stepping up to help.
They are collecting donations at their 105 Edward Street location to support our fellow community members who lost most of their belongings in the collapse.
The Salvation Army St. Thomas is hoping to provide free clothing, bedding, and household items, in an effort to make everyone feel more comfortable.
Building tenants who have not been in contact are asked to reach out to the Salvation Army if they wish to receive assistance.
