The 2024 St. Thomas Polar Plunge took over Railway City Brewing on Tuesday as participants got “Freezin’ For A Reason” in support of Special Olympics Ontario.
The local fundraiser, which is hosted annually by the Law Enforcement Torch Run saw huge success as St. Thomas Police Inspector Kim Manuel shares!
As donations continued to come in following the plunges on Tuesday, the funds raised have now exceeded $8,100, which is $3000 above the original goal.
Manuel adds that the continued support of this event means so much to the St. Thomas Polar Plunge Team.
All proceeds from the Polar Plunge will be channeled into providing vital programming and events for Special Olympic athletes across Ontario.
Those looking to support the cause can still stop by Railway City Brewing in St. Thomas where they’ve created a special Polar Plunge beverage, with proceeds benefiting the local fundraiser while supplies last.
