Today is Safer Internet Day and this years slogan is “Together For a Better Internet”.
OPP Officer Jeff Hare says this month is super important for everyone who uses technology.
Hare says they have been seeing a trend with children as of late.
OPP have some tips for parents to help keep kids safe on the internet.
For parents with children who are using the internet, it is important to monitor what they are doing online and make sure they haven’t gotten into trouble. Hare also reminds if you suspect any sort of suspicious behaviour online, report it to OPP or local police.
