A 34-year-old Tillsonburg man has been charged with impaired operation after nearly colliding with a police cruiser early Monday morning in Aylmer.
Police say an officer on patrol on Spruce Street needed to take evasive action to avoid the collision when the vehicle travelling westbound crossed over into the oncoming lane.
A traffic stop was conducted as a result and breath tests taken showed the driver was over 4 times the legal limit.
The 34-year-old was also charged with having a blood alcohol content in excess of 80 milligrams and had his vehicle impounded and licence seized.
