It was anything but a quiet Sunday for St. Thomas Police officers who were confronted by a knife-wielding man.
Police were contacted after several individuals in the south end of the city were approached by the man.
Officers located him and he approached them in an aggressive fashion with the knife.
Police Tasered the individual who was known to them. He was arrested without further incident and taken to hospital as a precaution.
He has been charged with:
- Assaulting a peace officer
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Causing a disturbance
