There are doughnuts that draw the attention of treat lovers.
And then there are doughnuts that attract the attention of police for a whole different reason.
The latter was the case early Sunday morning when an Elgin OPP officer stopped a speeding vehicle on Havens Lake Road in West Elgin where the driver been doing doughnuts in an intersection.
After showing signs of intoxication, 27-year-old Michael Beynon of West Lorne was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and stunt driving.
His licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.
Beynon is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on April 23.
