St. Thomas Police are investigating the theft of approximately $3,000 of copper wire from a city work site.
They were contacted by city staff who reported the wire had been stolen Monday from the 600 block of Talbot Street.
A contractor had been updating the street lights in the area.
Police have CCTV surveillance of the incident which they are now reviewing.
