A number of young entrepreneurs in our community have been working diligently as they prepare for Friday’s ‘Youth Market’ taking place at the CASO Station.
Hosted by the St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce, this inaugural market gives youth who are between the ages of 6 and 17 the chance to show off and sell their creations.
myFM had the honor of sitting down with Chamber Co-op students Yazareth Arrieta and Pearl Dhillon to chat about the unique opportunity for these vendors.
Arrieta explains that for many, this could be the start of their business journey.
Those in attendance will see a range of products such as handmade baked goods, jewelry, paintings, home decor, and pet food. They’ll also have face painting on site, as well as snow cones, bubble tea and more available for purchase.
Dhillon notes how exciting it is to offer this opportunity to those who will help shape our community one day.
Arrieta added that you just never know how big of an impact supporting local could make.
The Youth Market is set to run from 5 to 7 p.m. inside the CASO Station at 750 Talbot Street.
Please make note that this is a cash only market.
You can visit the Chamber’s Facebook page for a sneak peak of the vendors that will be in attendance!
