Two St. Thomas men have been arrested and charged with a variety of drug-related offences after an incident Thursday in the city.
While on an unrelated call in the 500 block of Talbot Street, officers located the two men actively involved in drug trafficking.
After a short pursuit, the pair were arrested.
41-year-old Robert Smith was charged with:
- one count possession of a scheduled substance
- one count possession of a scheduled substance – Methamphetamine
- one count possession of a scheduled substance – Opioid
- one count failure to comply with probation order
- one count obstruct police
He was released on an appearance notice.
44-year-old Richard Talbot was charged with:
- one count possession of a scheduled substance the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- one count possession of a scheduled substance the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
- one count obstruct police
He was held for a morning court appearance and subsequently remanded into custody.
