Months of back and forth between Ontario and the federal government has ended in a deal that they say will see the province access 357-million dollars in housing funding.
The dispute centred on Ontario’s affordable housing targets.
Ottawa had said it would withhold some affordable housing funding from the province because it didn’t meet its targets and had an inadequate action plan, and would instead give the money directly to municipalities.
Ontario, on the other hand, had argued the federal government wasn’t recognizing its progress.
