Two individuals did not get far late Monday night after stealing an e-bike from a downtown business.
They had used force to enter the premises and were armed with weapons.
Several officers attended the area and quickly located the suspects pushing the e-bike.
Further investigation revealed a third suspect who was arrested Wednesday and a search led to the discovery of over $6,000 in drugs.
21-year-old Nicholas Derbowka was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Break, Enter a place – commit an indictable offence
- Two counts failure to comply with probation
31-year-old Shaylee Murphy was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with Violence
- Break, Enter a place – commit an indictable offence
- Failure to Comply with Probation
Both Derbowka and Murphy were remanded into custody.
37-year-old Jonathan Cedar was arrested and charged with:
- Two counts robbery with violence
- Two counts Break, Enter a place – commit an indictable offence
A search incident to arrest located:
27.1 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine ($2710.00)
34.7 grams of Crack Cocaine ($3470.00)
1.4 grams of Cocaine ($140.00)
Totaling: $6320.00
As a result, Cedar has additionally been charged with two counts of Possession of a scheduled 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Cedar was processed and held for a morning court appearance.
