Southwestern Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identify a dog involved in a bite incident in St. Thomas on Wednesday evening.
The victim was walking westbound on Wellington Street just before 9:30 p.m. and was bitten by a dog when its owner passed by at Third Avenue.
The dog is described as a medium-sized, bulldog mixed-breed, white in colour with black or brown spots.
The owner of the dog is described as a person with grey hair, wearing pink headphones and grey shirt at the time of the incident.
Southwestern Public Health wants to confirm the vaccination status of the dog to allow the victim and their health care provider to determine next steps related to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.
