The warm weather is here and summer break is in full swing.
With kids outdoors more often, the Ontario Provincial Police want to make sure that outside time is as safe as possible.
That was Constable Andrew Gamble who went on to say that something as simple as wearing a helmet is important for a few reasons.
The most obvious reason being the safety it provides.
But Gamble wants to remind young people that going out on a bike without a helmet is breaking the law.
While it’s important for cyclists to wear helmets and take a look at their surroundings, it is also important for individuals behind a motor vehicle to realize their role in public safety.
Gamble is hoping everyone has a safe summer, and wearing proper protection when on a bicycle is one good way to ensure that happens.
