If you’ve ever thought about signing your child up for ringette, but just aren’t sure- an event hosted at the Joe Thorton Community Centre this week may be the perfect opportunity for you!
The St. Thomas Ringette Association will be offering a free ‘Come Try Ringette’ session on Saturday, August 10 at 9:45 a.m., giving attendees the chance to learn more about the unique sport.
It’s open to those age 4+ and provides them with the chance to meet other players, try some skills and drills and maybe even play a quick game.
The only items participants will need are skates, a hockey helmet, and warm mitts or hockey gloves.
Those hoping to attend are asked to preregister online, with more details available here.
