Aylmer Police officers can now be seen wearing body-worn cameras (BWC) as part of a month-long trial program.
One camera will be deployed during day shifts and one during night shifts throughout September.
The pilot, in partnership with Motorola Solutions Inc., aims to evaluate the cost-benefit of BWC technology for both the police service and Aylmer residents.
This initiative aligns with Aylmer Police Service’s modernization efforts, using technology to improve daily operations and service delivery.
At the end of the trial, a report will be presented to the Aylmer Police Services Board in October to determine if the cameras will be permanently implemented.
