A group of local crafters will be hosting bi-monthly crafting events at The Joe Thorton Community Centre while also giving back to local charities. Their next event will be taking place on July 13th and 14th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will be helping to supply bottled water to The Grace Cafe in St. Thomas.
The event will allow you to shop for some crafting supplies while also giving you the opportunity to interact with fellow crafters including knitters, painters, card makers, and scrapbookers and receive help with your projects if needed.
Co-organizer Debbie Shanon says the purpose of the event is to spend the day crafting and finishing projects in the presence of other crafters so help can be provided if you get stuck.
Tickets for the event are $55 each day or $100 for both with lunch and dinner provided. If you wish to just stop by and shop the vendors but don’t wish to participate in the crafting, you can do so for a donation that will also be going towards the Grace Cafe.
