A second public information centre will be held this week to update residents on the recommended site of the city’s new water reclamation facility.
The location of the wastewater treatment plant is on agricultural land in Central Elgin, on the north side of Water Tower Line at Dalewood Road.
It is the preferred site because it has available space for future expansion and has the least impact on adjacent communities with regard to odour emissions and construction activity.
The initial information session was held at the end of June to gather public input, with the second session set for Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Arena in St. Thomas.
