Central Community Health Centre, GenWell, and St. Thomas-Elgin Local Immigration Partnership are hosting a special “Community Connections” event early next month.
Taking place October 1st at the St. Anne’s Centre, the event is designed to help newcomers integrate into the vibrant St. Thomas community by connecting them with local organizations, agencies, and resources.
It aligns with the theme of Community Health and Wellbeing Month, “The Future is Community,” which encourages local engagement and highlights the importance of comprehensive primary health care in the transformation of Ontario Health Teams.
The event provides newcomers with valuable information and services to help them settle and thrive in their new surroundings.
It will run from 5 to 7 p.m. outside at the St. Anne’s Centre, where activities and live entertainment will be taking place.
A light meal will be provided during this free event, with no registration required.
