A city resident is out about $1,900 after falling to victim to a rental scam.
Last Friday, the individual replied to a rental advertisement on Facebook Marketplace, then signed a digital agreement and secured the rental with an e-transfer of first and last month’s rent.
At that point, the victim was no longer able to contact the individual they had been dealing with.
This remains under investigation.
