Halloween is a night that local children look forward to each year.
But it’s important to remember that making trick-or-treating a safe and enjoyable experience is everyone’s responsibility.
As we get set for the exciting and busy day, the St. Thomas Police Service have shared some invaluable tips for pedestrian safety on Halloween night.
That was Corporate Communications Coordinator, Samantha Wakefield, who notes that making sure your trick-or-treater is visible to drivers is vital.
She adds that being able to see out of your costume is a must.
Wakefield also stressed that motorists have just as an important job to do on Halloween night as the trick-or-treaters do when it comes to safety. She reminds drivers how busy the streets are going to be on Thursday.
Remember, Halloween should be a night of fun! By following these safety tips, we can ensure everyone enjoys the holiday while staying out of harm’s way.
