The Township of Southwold’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet took place on November 14th.
It is held to recognize outstanding citizens of the Township of Southwold.
This year’s award winners were:
Ross Burgar, who won the Mayor’s Prestigious Award;
Jim Carder, who won the Distinguished Citizen Award;
And The Chamberlain Sisters, Deb Logghe, Pat Stannard, and Karen Olmstead, who won the Volunteer Service Award.
Ten Southwold volunteer firefighters were recognized for their years of service:
Daryl Adams, Adam Dale, Adam Harrison, John Gauntlett, and Duncan Murray for five years of service; Dean Thorner for ten years of service; Breanna Howe and Tim Lumani for fifteen years of service; and Kirk Duncan and Fire Chief Jeff McArthur for twenty years of service.
